    2018年12月11日，中英城市防洪高端论坛在我院顺利举办。本论坛由院办副主任孙凤及英国EML公司负责人Mark Dutton共同主持。中国工程院院士、英国皇家工程院外籍院士张建云院长出席会议并致开幕词，英国纽卡斯尔大学教授Enda O’Connell致开幕词。本次论坛吸引了来自我院及英国纽卡斯尔大学，英国拉夫堡大学，中国水利水电科学研究院，北京师范大学，南京大学，中山大学等高校及科研院所的80余位专家及研究人员参与。江苏省防办、南京市水务局、成都市水务局、深圳市防办、北京市防办等单位代表出席此论坛。

    围绕城市防洪热点问题，英国纽卡斯尔大学Enda O’Connell教授作题为《A Virtual collaboratory for flood forecasting, flood warning and decision-making under uncertainty in urban flood management》的报告；张建云院长作题为《The National Key Research and Development Program for urban flood prevention》的报告；英国纽卡斯尔大学Greg O'Donnell博士作题为《Responding to flooding from intense rainfall: A UK perspective》的报告；北京师范大学徐宗学教授作题为《Simulation of urban floods and assessment on sponge city construction in Jinan City》的报告；英国拉夫堡大学梁秋华教授作题为《Prediction and forecasting urban flooding from intense rainfall using high-performance hydrodynamic models》的报告；中国水利水电科学研究院马建明教高作题为《Applications in real time urban flood risk analysis and warning system by IFMS/Urban》的报告。

    报告内容精彩纷呈，专家学者围绕中英两国城市洪涝问题、洪水风险分析、洪水模拟及预警技术、海绵城市建设等议题进行了多方面的深入探讨，为推进中英双方进一步合作提供了良好开端。
